Electric scooter rental service TIER has started its operations in Vaasa in cooperation with Sisäsataman Terassi Oy. Vaasa is the 75th city in the world where TIER was launched. Sustainable development and safety are important values for TIER. TIER electric scooters have the longest life cycle on the market and are invariably safe thanks to the three brakes and double suspension. Every drive on the TIER is climate compensated.
The service works completely via a mobile application, where you can locate the nearest electric scooter and rent it for your own use. The mobile application that allows renting can be downloaded from the App Store and the Google Play store. You can use the electric scooter on your phone by reading the QR code on the board. The activation fee is € 1 and for use you pay only 25 cents per minute. Payment is made via Paypal or debit card. After the ride, the electric scooter can be parked anywhere inside the delivery area.
Inner Harbour Terrace Oy. is responsible for Vaasa’s TIER operations. Employees, scooter collection and charging is run by Sisäsatama Terrace staff. The TIER service has customer service in Finnish and English. The locations in Vaasa have been designed and implemented together with the City of Vaasa and a few private individuals and companies. Electric scooters are subject to the same traffic rules as cyclists, ie walking on footpaths is not permitted. Wearing a helmet as on a bike, i.e. it is recommended.
